♣ 야구에 잘 사용하는 근육과 관절 ♣

야구가 전신을 사용하는 운동임에는 틀림이 없으나, 그 중에서도
가장 중요한 것은 근욕이다. 그러므로 프로야구는 과거나 지금이나
트레이너(스포츠 마사지, 정체의학(整體醫學)과 접곡(接骨), 뒤에
주법(走法)이나 몸 컨디션 전체를 지도하는 전문가)를 배치하고
있다. 어깨·다리·허리의 근육, 관절고장의 예방, 컨디션의 유지,
또는 고장시의 치료를 통하여 선수 수명연장에 크게 기여하고 있다.
앞의 그림을 보자. 야구에 특히 중요한 부분을 표시하였다. 근육이나
관절의 고장은 대개 이들 중 어딘가가 피로 때문에 염증, 내출혈,
타박상, 근육이완을 일으키거나 뺄때 일어나기쉽다. 특히 근육은
체중의 42%를 차지하므로 아주 중요하다. 동양인은 일반적으로 육체적
조건이 18~22세가 최고의 피크이고, 이 상태가 지속되다가, 32~36세에
전환기를 맞고, 38세부터 급격히 하락 한다. 요즈음 외국 스포츠계는
이에 관한 연구가 활발하여 최근에는 40대도 훌륭한 기록을 많이
내고 잇다. 우리 나라는 '82년도 MBC청룡의 감독 겸 선수로 4할대의
타율을 기록한 백인천씨가 대표적 예이다. 즉 체력은 가꾸고
노력하기에 따라서 동양인들도 서양인들도 서양인 못지 않게 연장시킬
수 있는 것이다.

◎ 런닝에 잘 사용하는 근육과 관절

체질이나 주법(走法)에 따라 다소 차이가 있으나 배복근(배腹筋)을
잘 사용한다. 평근(平筋)은 충격으로 아프기 쉽다.
① 중심을 낮게 달리는 사람(대퇴전후측근:大腿前後側筋 …馬力型)
② 탄력을 상하로 움직이며 달리는 사람(발, 무릎관절……폼 형)
③ ①과②의 중간, 즉 밸런스형
양팔의 흔들기는 교호(交互)의 전후운동으로 밸런스를 취한다.
글러브를 쥐면 그 무게만큼 팔 휘두르기가 옆으로 흐른다. 또 오버 런
할 때에 예각주법(銳角走法)을 하려면, 각으로 기울어지는 자세와
왼다리의 킥은 물론 오른팔 근육을 여유있게 사용(팔꿈치를 뻗힌다)
할 필요가 있다.

◎ 드로잉(throwing)

팔은 다리와 허리를 토대로 움직여야 한다. 그러므로 지구력 면에서
볼 때 다리와 허리를 축(軸)으로 던지는 것이 이상적이다. 이때 중심
이동은 다리가 절대적이고, 회전운동은 어깨(팔)와 허리가 주가 된다.
투수는 다리와 허리의 [절대력(絶對力)]과 [순발력(瞬發力)], 그리고
[지구력(持久力)을 길러야 한다. 60m의 대쉬(매일 15 ~ 20회)가
효과적이다. 팔의 근육에는,
① 오버핸드 드로(overhand throw) (棘下筋) (근육
② 사이드암 드로(sidearm throw) 팔꿈치와 허리 (특히 왼쪽 허리의
③ 언더핸드 드로(underhand throw) 다리(무릎과 발)와 허리의 근육

투수나 타자가 손목이 좋다는 칭찬을 듣기는 매우 어렵다. 그러한
칭찬을 들으려면, 손의 [절대력(絶對力)], 유연도(柔軟度)], 그리고
[능숙한 사용]이 전제되기 때문이다. 손목이 비교적 자유롭게 조작
되려면 8개나 되는 이형(異形)의 수근골(手根骨)이 움직일 수 있도록
연결되어야 하기 때문이다. 그러나 어깨나 팔꿈치는 내전운동
(內轉運動)이 어렵다. 투수가 변화구를 잘 던지려면 이러한 것이 발달
되어야 한다. 커브에 비하여 타자의 내각으로 휘어드는 스크루볼
(screwball)의 구부림이 작다든가, 또 근육이나 관절에 고장이 잘
일어나는 이유도 손목과, 팔꿈치, 어깨의 내전각도(內轉角度)가
일정한 균형을 이루지 못하기 때문이다.

◎ 고장의 예방

팔은 상완이두근(上腕二頭筋), 전박(前膊)을 잘 사용한다.
그러나 다리는 다음과 같다.
① 중심타법 … (우족대퇴내전근 右足大腿內轉筋)
② 회전타법(回轉打法) … 좌요(左腰)와 좌족외측(左足外側)
복사뼈근(筋)
③ 팔목(리스트)타법 … 양다리의 대퇴 사두근(大腿四頭筋)

고장은 장기적인 피로, 혹사(酷使) 또는 외부충격에서 기인한다.
피로가 쌓이면 근육도 위축(萎縮)되고 모든 면에서 악순환이 일어나기
쉽다. 예방법과 치료수단에는 예를 들어 마사지, 초단파,
극(極)초단파, 저주파치료(低周波治療)가 있다. 또는 감전전기(교류)
치료도있다. 오버핸드 투수는 극하근(棘下筋) 외에 삼각근
(三角筋)이나 승모근(僧帽筋)을, 스크루볼 투수는 내전척골측근
(內轉尺骨側筋)을, 커브 투수는 외전요골측근(外轉腰骨側筋)을,
그리고 포크볼에서는 지근관절(指筋關節)이 아프기 쉬우므로 관리를
잘 하여야 할 것이다. 또 타자 중에서 당겨서 치는 타자는 능형근
(菱形筋)이 아프기 쉽다. 일반적으로 충격 이외의 고장은 혈액순환을
원활하게 하는 것으로 족하며 찬 공기나 바다바람은 좋지 않다. 목욕
뒤의 가벼운 마사지 또는 목욕 중에 뜨거운 물과 찬물에 번갈아
들어가는 것도 좋다. 그러나 이러한 방법도 뼈에 이상이 있으면
효력이 없다. 외적 충격이 있거나, 내출혈을 일으키거나, 염증이
생기면 [냉습포(冷濕布)와 지혈(止血)]이 필요하다. 테이프나 탄성
(彈性)붕대를 쓰면 편리한 점이 많다. 냉습포는 혈관을 축소시키고,
테이프는 지혈 역할을 한다. 관절을 삐었을 때는 테이프로 고정하고
탄성붕대로 움직임을 제한하면, 회복도 빠르고 통증을 막을 수 있다.
그 뒤에 증상이 회복되면 반대로 혈행(血行)을 좋게 하여 빠른 회복을
돕는다. 근막(筋膜)이나 건(아킬레스 건,腱)의 고장도 염려되나,
근섬유단열(筋纖維斷熱)이 되면 장기치료가 필요하다.

◎ 내출혈(內出血)

내출혈도 열려가 된다. 내출혈은 근육 위에 이질(異質)이 조직으로
남아 운동을 방해하고 피로소(疲勞素)의 흡수를 낮게 하기 때문이다.
예를 들어 투수가 완투하면 삼각근(三角筋)의 모세혈관(毛細血管)이
몇개 파괴된다고 한다. 그 위에 근막(筋膜)이 있어 잘 모르는 사람은
알수가 없다는 이야기도 있다. 던지기를 중시하면 파열이 그치고
내출혈이 거의 흡수되는 것이 정상이다. 근육은 육체적 피로 뿐만이
아니라 정상적인 스트레스나 긴장감 때문에 30%정도 위축된다고 한다.
그러므로 자신에 가장 알맞게 [릴랙스한 방법]을 개발할 필요가 있다.

다음 각종 증상을 적어보자.

근육이완(筋肉弛緩) … 부담이 거듭되는 근육조직에 내출혈, 염증,
엇갈림, 단렬(斷裂)이 나타나는 현상.
관절의 삠 … 일반적으로 골(骨), 인대(靭帶 관절운동을 안전하게
하거나 제한하는 튼튼한 섬유조직), 아킬레스 건(腱)
등이 가동범위(可動範圍)를 넘어 무리하면 손상되거나
끊어지는 고장
(주) 손이나 팔꿈치나 어깨의 고장은 내출혈, 근육이완,
신경염(神經炎), 연골염(軟骨炎), 아킬레스 건염(厭)
등의 증상이 많다.
타박 … 충격에 의한 고장, 표면에 단락(段落 베어진 곳)이 있으면
좌성(坐像)이라고도 부른다.
경련(痙攣) … 흔히 근육이 땅겨진다고 한다. 일반적으로 피로,
비타민B1부족, 냉한시(冷寒時)의 근육수축이 원인이다.
겨울철에 주로 하는 웨이트 트레이닝, 서어킷
트레이닝시 충분한 준비운동이 없이 근육활동을 하면
시즌중보다 발생율이 급증한다.
